Maya Mroué Boustani, PhD
Lab Director, Assistant Professor

Maya is an Assistant Professor in the department of psychology at Loma Linda University's School of Behavioral Health and the director of the CARE lab. Maya graduated from Florida International University's clinical child psychology program under the mentorship of Dr. Stacy Frazier. At FIU, Maya developed a partnership with a foster care shelter for youth and implemented a pregnancy prevention program. After completing her internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, she joined the Child FIRST lab at UCLA, under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Chorpita, where she worked on projects in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District and with public schools in Delhi, India. Currently, Maya is developing her program of research at Loma Linda University, with an interest on enhancing school-based mental health prevention and promotion programming.
