Veronica Nakla
PhD Student

Veronica is currently a graduate student at Loma Lind University. She is interested in minority community mental health therapy, how to develop a therapeutic alliance with these communities, and how to bring more of them into therapy. Veronica's doctoral project consists of gathering data on why people in the Coptic Community shy away from therapy and to find strategies that will help combat hesitations towards therapy. Eventually, she will take her findings and generalize it to the Arab population, with the hopes of finding a therapeutic model that best works for the Arab community as a whole.
